European project COOLSWEEP with trade mission to EcoTech plans to establish ties in the field of waste management and derived energy
Oslo Renewable Energy and Environment Cluster - OREEC - is organizing a Trade Mission to Kazakhstan on behalf of an international consortium of cleantech cluster organisations located in Norway, Denmark, Austria, Italy, Spain and Latvia.
The consortium is participating in a 3-year project; COOLSWEEP, financed by the EU, focused on developing research and business opportunities for the stakeholders in the field of waste management and waste-to-energy technologies.
One of the ambitions of the COOLSWEEP project is to create collaboration opportunities outside Europe for companies that offer innovative solutions for waste management and waste-to-energy.
The consortium has the following aims for the Trade
Mission:
- Give the delegates up-to-date information on markets and research
- Develop an understanding and get a feeling of the prospective trading climate in the chosen country
- Assess international opportunities, infrastructure, culture and potential demand
- Give the companies the opportunity to present their technologies and solutions
- Identify opportunities for further business collaboration among companies and educational/research organisations
- Establish contacts and initiate relationships that can be followed up after the Trade Mission
The delegation visiting Kazakhstan will consist of companies from the six European countries that represent world leading technologies and experience within developing and implementing waste management solutions for cities and regions. Universities/Research institutions will attend the delegation as well. In addition, there has been an interest from the public authorities of the region to participate in the delegation. The project consortium will consist of 6-8 persons.
The delegation will represent world leading solution providers within the field of waste management, and in the fields of bio-degradable waste, incineration, sorting solutions and technologies, and infrastructure in particular. Waste treatment and waste-to-energy is the core of the COOLSWEEP project.
