10th Central Asian International Exhibition-Forum on environmental technologies, waste management, industrial water treatment and “green” innovations - EcoTech 2014 will take place on September 17 - 19, 2014 in Almaty.

This year Bronze Partner of the exhibition and conference EcoTech is the Kazakhstan enterprise Tengizchevroil LLP that carries out exploration, development, production and sales of oil and associated products, and operates in accordance with the best international standards of safety and environmental protection. Over two decades of its activity, TCO has become the largest enterprise in Kazakh oil and gas industry.

Tengizchevroil LLP supports the holding of the exhibition and conference, as the company is the leader among industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan, which organize the processing and recycling of industrial waste. Recently new capacities were put into operation, and processing technologies that meet the highest international standards in this area were used. Alongside with that TCO actively cooperates with contractors and the government of local municipalities in order to reduce the existing volume of waste and organize their effective utilization. Among other things, the program provides for the transfer of written-off equipment, metal and building materials for reuse, and carrying out the removal of domestic waste from nearby human settlements for the recycling at the TCO’s landfill.

Since 2000, TCO has invested 2.7 billion US dollars in the projects on minimization of the environmental impact of the production. The company continues to work on a number of important projects, including the program of recycling of accumulated materials, the project on sewage treatment facilities, and the upgrading of waste water treatment unit. In 2012, the installation of Exapilot software to optimize the process of reduction of gas flaring was successfully implemented, which allowed to significantly reduce air pollution. During the period from 2013 to 2015, TCO plans to invest 272 million US dollars in additional projects. As early as 2013, the TCO expenses for the implementation of environmental projects were 174% of the budgeted amount.

By means of extensive investments and works on finding new ways, TCO tries to achieve the best results in the field of environmental protection, constantly improving reliability of equipment, significantly reducing the volume of emissions, gas flaring, and minimizing the risks of spills.

Official support for EcoTech 2014 is provided by: Ministry of Environment and Water Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MEWR RK), Almaty City Akimat, Joint-stock Company “Zhasyl Damu” and the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Business partners of EcoTech 2014 are Kazakhstan Association of Subsoil Users for Sustainable Development (KAPUR), Centre “Cooperation for sustainable development of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, Centre for Sustainable Production and Consumption, Waste Management Association “KazWaste”.

The exhibition-forum EcoTech 2014 will be held simultaneously with the events in the mining-and-metallurgical complex - Mining World Central Asia 2014, KazComak 2014, and KazMet 2014.
