PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT AND WASTE RECYCLING ARE THE MAIN TOPICS OF ECOTECH 2014

September 17 – 19, 2014, the 10th Anniversary Central Asian International Exhibition and Forum on Environmental Technologies, Waste Management, Industrial Water Treatment and "Green" Innovations – EcoTech 2014 will be held in the city of Almaty, in the Kazakhstan Centre of Business Cooperation "Atakent" and it will present about 30 companies from the UK, Denmark, Germany, Italy, China, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Finland.

On September 17, the International Conference on the topic "Development of Infrastructure for Waste Disposal in Kazakhstan" will take place within the framework of the business program of EcoTech 2014.

The topics that will be raised and discussed: Extended producer responsibility (EPR) as an effective mechanism for solving the problem of solid domestic waste; closed-loop economy (circular economy) – an innovative approach to the management of production and consumption waste in Kazakhstan for the multi-use of products; solid domestic waste management at industrial sites. Where does the waste from the companies go? Who accepts them and how are they processed? Construction of the infrastructure for waste disposal (including solid domestic waste and medical waste); e-waste problems and the best practices of their green recycling.

The results of a joint project of UNDP and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia: "E-waste Management" and the practical experience of public-private partnership by way of example of the companies Samsung Electronics Central Eurasia, Alser and Sulpak will be presented within the framework of the Conference.

The novelties of the exposition of EcoTech 2014 are the following: equipment for pneumatic transport of bottom and fly ash at power (heat electro power station, thermal power-stations) and ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy enterprises, as well as for cement production of the company Kopar OY (Finland); technology and equipment for flue gas desulfurization; equipment and systems for the optimization of the boiler functioning (coal combustion) of the company Greenbank (UK) on the stand ARCON; zeolite filters, which are used for drinking water supply and for treatment of industrial and domestic wastewater (Prymorskiy Tseolit LLP); integrated lines and equipment for waste recycling (Anton Ohlert GmbH & Co.); geosynthetics (KAZGEOBEL-1); complex processing of solid domestic waste (SANWA RECYCLING); an apparatus for processing of used motor oil (Luoyang Youhui Equipment Co., Ltd); equipment for monitoring of emissions and pollutants (Information and Production Centre GIDROMET Ltd.) and much more.

The Ministry of Economy of Poland unites the leading Polish equipment manufacturers and service providers for the mineral resource industry and the sector of innovative "green" technologies on its stand. The leading Polish company Ecolog LLC presents 30-year experience in implementing of more than 500 projects in the sphere of water supply, sewerage, solid waste management, municipal infrastructure and renewable energy on its stand.

Kazakhstan Association of Waste Management "KazWaste" representing more than 30 companies that are leaders in their own area, which carry out their activities in all of the regions of Kazakhstan, will take part in the Exhibition for the first time.

A seminar of the company Information and Production Centre GIDROMET Ltd. on the topic "Modern Equipment for Gas Monitoring in Accordance with EU Standards" will be held on the first day of the Exhibition within the framework of the business program.
