Water is essential for socio-economic development and environmental protection. Over the past 20 years, water management and water quality have improved in many subregions. However, the progress made in ensuring access to safe water and adequate sanitation is often negligible, especially in rural areas, and particularly in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia. Various international conferences and exhibitions are devoted to this issue. The main objective to which the efforts and attention of the public and business and academic community is focused is the conservation and rational use water.
